Get to Know me

Hi, I’m Alexa Valadez—a graphic designer based in Westchester, NY, with a focus on branding, editorial design, packaging, and print. I’m passionate about using design as a tool for clear communication and creative storytelling, bringing thoughtful structure and playful energy to every project I take on.

Throughout my work—from matchbook-inspired cocktail menus to outreach materials and type specimen booklets—I aim to balance strategy with experimentation. I’m drawn to bold color palettes, strong typography, and layout systems that feel purposeful while leaving space for personality.

My skill set is grounded in print design, branding, and layout systems, with a strong focus on tools like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I also have experience with After Effects and Premiere Pro for motion graphics, as well as Figma, Canva, and basic HTML/CSS for digital projects. Whether designing for print or web, I’m comfortable building cohesive visual systems—adapting my approach to fit the scale and audience of each project.

Outside of design, I’m often exploring new creative outlets, testing out materials, or finding inspiration in everyday details. I believe good design should not only communicate—but invite curiosity and connection.
